12:05 pm-Working on the Big Project. Printed some stuff for school, coffee, browsing some UI web stuff. Tired, again. Erika took the kids to school. I read the paper. Listening to Discreet Music.
2:29 pm-Off to lunch. Working on table layout for the Big Project. A business opportunity arising with the day’s email-working on maintenance for software made by the company 2 jobs ago, the company has disappeared, some guy Googled me and here we are. Problem is most likely the limitations of the database manager (it’s the out of the box Turbo Pascal one). We’ll see.
11:35 pm-Finishing up a 2nd day of tracking-redid the harmony string and guitar tracks-the live guitar was making too much noise so I had to use a sampled one…Setting up for the bounce. Had to pick up the kids-Erika had to leave work early so I had to too. Library-picked up Tertium Organum and In Search of the Miraculous-more Fripp influence-I read another one when I was a teen-my grandmother gave it to me. Guy from the welding co. called-I’m going to try to help him but until I know more we wait. I also got an email from a recruiter from VMWare-I’ll respond & see where it goes. Dinner, kids bath and to bed, dinner, NCIS, the Unit, Boston Legal and I started on the tracking. Bounce is started. No tea today-I have a headache now-I’m really sensitive to caffeine withdrawal. This setup of a TX81Z, Mirage, Midiverb, Zoom 9150 and Tascam 424 plus a guitar, DDD-5 and midi keyboard is working well for my purposes-I can get 7 recorded tracks on one bounce, 10 on 2 bounces. I’m sticking to one bounce for now. Bounce is almost done-time for bed.
