9:14 am-On a plane, going to Raleigh, North Carolina. I have a job interview with Blue Cross Blue Shield. I’m excited. They flew me out there, paid for everything. I hope that means that I’m going to get the job. Erika is very excited too, and we’ve been looking at all the stuff you need to look at. Houses are cheap, there’s a Waldorf school (private and expensive), a gamelan ensemble close by, my sister is a long drive away. We’ve been spending the last week planning the move. It’s a huge job. OK.
To recap-I’ve skived on this. Actually not a lot happening-the news about the interview, met a few recruiters, kids, doing very little at work other than look for a new job. (I’m getting laid off end of March) Visit storage, shop, go to the jacuzzi, kids to school, no church. I got a check from Lassu. Kids stayed home Monday. The phone interview with the ad agency in Minneapolis was a bust. Erika’s car needed brake work, and there went the check from Lassu-that and buying a new suit-all I have is a nice sport coat-not going to work for an interview. No more t’ai chi-the kids are doing Othello and need the time to practice. Hopefully the new school will want a t’ai chi and computer instructor…
4:42 pm (edt)-Waiting for the next flight in Atlanta. Whoopee. Flight was OK-read my book, stretched, chatted with my neighbor, bitty meditation, no boobies, to quote Fripp. I guess it’s the saw: if you don’t see the booby, you’re probably it… Bumpy on the way down. I’m finishing “Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television”. It’s scathing-we all need to throw our TVs out the window. Today.
