Like cooking, cleaning, paying bills, setting up my gear, working through the white box->cedar chest move, getting through my to do list. I got some done yesterday-E has spent a lot of time getting boxes unpacked-I filled up the outside closet last night. S had a friend over, and C has girl drama.
Bannon is out-that makes 4 major WH figures out in the past month or so. Interesting.
Just had a “scintillating scotoma”. Pretty cool, but troubling, especially because I’ve never had one before. After some judicious googling, it appears to be a precursor to a migraine, but all I had was some odd feelings and a little headache. Oh, the joy of getting older and being under moderate stress. A minor right hand thing too-this I may need to see a doc for…
Quiet weekend-got some stuff done. Church, shop. Worked from home Mon.-was going to bag on the eclipse, but 9am rolled around and the traffic was light, so we drove south. Waited around in a parking lot of a Mexican restaurant in Milino, 26 secs of totality-it was pretty awesome, plus a group of skydivers appeared right at the end. Had a lovely “german pancake” at a local diner which was a weak version of a Bette’s Diner pancake souffle. Worked the rest of the day.
Had another scotoma yesterday, got a big check. Switched to my small backpack for the commute. Want to put my music stuff up-I have a location in our bedroom. Dreaming about the big jackpot. I could do some cool things to help people. Didn’t happen. Weekend: hot, then hotter. C’s GF came over, picked her up at the Max, home, shop, dropped her off after shopping. Went to Sat. Market to see Supadupa Marimba Bros-S’s fave band. Hot. Hotter today. Houston is getting drilled by Harvey, fight was meh.
Week is over-Labor Day, S’s birthday, kids start school next week. E has the house tarted up. I need to finish one thing and work on my corner. Getting back into the cleaning routine. Going to be hot this weekend. And it was, but not too much, as there was a large fire out in the gorge that blanketed everything, with orange sun and moon and ash on the ground. So we stayed inside mostly-shop, funeral, church, farmer’s market, cleaning, library, put up drapes, etc.
