“If we can get over this summer.” Decade? I need to make some music. Maybe in the new place I’ll be able to set up. With the Kronos, I need a lot less space-board, amp, guitar. I should trim a bit and get everything into the cedar chest. We’ll see. Gotta get busy this weekend and put stuff in boxes, make a list of things to do as well.
E is putting stuff in boxes-some overwork on her part as well. Homemade pizza for dinner-this probably contributed to the overwork as well. Took M to the train station this morning-he’s having a great time at his FBI academy camp. S is enjoying theatre camp, C just stays up late. On a production issue at work-hopefully it won’t end up disastrous-I dislike this stuff. M’s FBI youth academy graduation, lunch, Ikea, worked late, busy repacking my stuff for the move, tidy as much as possible, church, laundry, hurry S to birthday party, shop, eat, pick up dinner, get a corner of the bedroom tidied, go through boys’ closet, Goodwill-picked up a WaterPik for $15. And back to work. The prod issue went through smoothly. We got the new apt., but paying for it is going to be a pain. Our church has been a great help-he have some lovely angels on our side-thanks!
So the past week-work, packing. S had theatre camp, so we saw the two performances Friday and Saturday-S to wrap pool party in fancy-land Sat-only a little envious. Got our keys Sat., I shifted a bunch of stuff from my closet, the outside closet, we got a new bed-letting it air out, so very sunburned, tired, sore and sweaty-it was hot, I was fried by the end of Sunday, and didn’t sleep well. Church, more shifting, Costco, Goodwill, laundry, etc. M helped a lot. We met 3 of the 5 neighbors-we knew 3 of 12 in our current apt. building, and a few more just the kids. My Android device lost its wi-fi, so I’m back to the iPhone only-it’s OK, but the screen is tiny in comparison.
I’m watching the drama in Washington D.C., but trying to not let it affect me-45 is just an outward reflection of the severe dysfunction not just in politics, but in the wider world. A lot of people basically called all this mess last year-I know I did. How to fix? Don’t know if it’s possible except to act as an exemplar and do the inner work. I have stuff to do, but insufficient energy and time to devote to it.
