Friday at home

Friday, and I get to work from home. This is a mixed blessing, unfortunately. While it’s nice not to drive and I can get some more sleep, the kids and wife tend to not think of me as working. That and the network connection is flaky and slow-I spend a lot of time waiting, which happens at work, but worse here. It’s getting warm, too-no climate control unless I turn it on. Got to pick raspberries for lunch. Cooked barbecue for dinner. Worked on a thing to get grant $$$ for the inner development thing-that would be awesome. Gotta wait until August to submit it, Nov for a first decision, then build a full proposal, then wait until next June for a decision. It would solve a lot of my issues with doing it-notably a certain financial investment to publicize and disseminate.
I got thrown a curveball on this task and am having to retest. I also have things to do on the doomed project and I’m slacking on that-I have a distinct lack of time and interest. Plus billing and all the rest.
Last night was pretty quiet-Erika went to a meeting, I cooked dinner, and tried to get to bed early, but I wanted to watch the end of the stage-one guy got kicked out.
