We’re doing some research on technology usage. We’re going down a road, and it looks like it ends, but my partner keeps going and it’s a narrow dirt lane. We go for awhile and I say this isn’t going to go. Finally we see a house, and it’s really rustic.
A bunch of kids, and they swarm us. The father comes up and we tell him what we’re there for. He says they don’t use much technology, and shows us around. One son is carving holly, and talks about Harry Potter and it’s properties-it’s worked very smooth.
We walk around, and go out to the fields-they’re using vehicles and tractors, and I ask about maintenance and stuff. I figure they’re at about 1960 technology.
