It is Fall, in more senses than just one

Please tip the writer. Whatever amount you like-every little bit helps, and I’ll do a shoutout. We are always short of cash, especially with a big mortgage. Let me know if you or someone you know needs web design/development-my rates aren’t bad, and I’m more than pretty good at it. Java/database/AWS/UI too. ThankYouVeryMuch!

It’s early Fall-getting colder, more rainy. Our front tree is a beautiful red with a red carpet on the porch. I’m feeling a bit lost, adrift. Focusing is hard, just trying to get through my day. Not sure what’s next-just trying to move forward in time without trouble. Hanging out with hummingbirds while working, that’s it. Saw a skunk and rabbits recently in the back yard. Plus squirrels and birds-the usual suburban wildlife, though no raccoons. Been thinking about how the whole progression thing, and our tail, and our elementals. I saw a pretty cool deck at the witch store on Belmont-“Elemental Magick Deck”, by a pair of local witches (Amethyst Rose and Ginger Arechiga, sponsored by a coven-Witches Council Oracle). $44, though…

Thursday (9/4), hanging out in a slightly cleaner living room-got all the stuff off of the couches. Watching “How Buildings Learn”-I had the book, and it’s cool to watch it. Took a couple of days around Labor Day- slept in a lot and got a few things done. Took kids to the state fair,  had a Dr’s appointment-203 cholesterol, bad hdl and ldl, meh a1c. Not much else is different.

Monday (9/8) afternoon. Trying to get a web thing going in Dev. No joy so far. (got it) Quiet weekend-working out, taking Salem to things, picking up Claire. Erika’s getting our room cleared out, we did the kitchen too. Ran a 5k yesterday, a little sore today-Matt did the same with walking around Comicon.

Tuesday afternoon. Trying to get a UAT deployment done, task grooming. Just tidied my office cart. Watched A Scanner Darkly last night-that was some fucked up shit.

Thursday morning. Afternoon-busy doing stuff. Erika is spending the night at Breitenbush. I’m without a car. Fine gamelan last night-Mindy wants to do a klenengan.

Friday afternoon, pretty quiet. More password changes, but none that I need to do anything with. Other stuff-helping out-lack of access for things I should have access to. Window sales guy came last night-spendy, but top quality.

Monday morning (9/15). It’s getting chilly in the kitchen, so on goes a sweater. Mellow weekend-blew out leaves from the back and front porches, tidied up the front porch as well. Also fixed one of the drawers in Salem’s new bed. It rained a lot overnight on Saturday and Sunday morning. Workouts, a quick one on Friday. A Costco visit so Matt could get his glasses fixed-no go-he’s a “guest” member. Only spent $100, and got a decent fresh pizza, coffee, frozen fruit, etc. Forgot honey…maybe at Winco.

Monday afternoon (9/22). Listening to an AI meeting. Pretty busy week-workouts and driving people around, a thing, put Salem’s bed together, took Friday off and we went to brunch. Salem went to a camp orientation thing, a bonfire at the Sellwood beach, drove their friend home. Got the Anne Tyng book-didn’t have the article I was looking for. Rained a little on Sunday morning.

Thursday (9/25) morning. Tuesday (9/30) morning. Yeah, that’s how it goes. Pretty quiet weekend-workouts, driving around, got a Fender PA for $40! Made up a funnel for the back gutter out of tar paper. The rain hasn’t really shown up yet-just a little drizzle.

Friday (10/3) noon. Pretty quiet, even though we’re in a “war zone”… It’s a completely ridiculous thing to say, even in rhetorical terms. So, yeah. Not a war zone. Not even around the ICE building. Password change on Tuesday night. Co-worker didn’t catch an issue with checkins, so panic on Weds AM. Took Salem to Providence for a seminar on Weds AM. Went to Salem’s choir recital on Weds rather than gamelan. Erika got her face treated-not as bad as the last time.

Wednesday (10/8) morning. Not much going on-trying to stay motivated. Workouts are getting cut in time, but fine otherwise. Pretty quiet otherwise-put some bins in the shed, moved Salem’s desk. Salem went to a retreat, going to Ashland this weekend, got her glasses.

Friday morning. Pretty quiet-password change last night. Car has a flat. Panicked because stuff to do. Borrowed the neighbor’s car, got Claire from work, dropped her off at the station, picked up Salem from the Keller-she went to a ballet dress rehearsal. A little shocked at the car I was driving… She worried about the Ashland trip. There are a lot of girls that she doesn’t get along with. She went anyways. Fine gamelan Weds.-had to duck out before the last piece. We’re hosting a klenengan Nov 15th. <Afternoon>, car is at the tire shop. Got a tow from AAA. <Evening> Got car back, after the guy forgot to leave my keys, and the dash lit up, then subsided, then Erika got a check engine light then a low tire light. Aargh.

Monday afternoon. Time to finish work. Didn’t get a ton done. Pretty quiet weekend-rainy. Went out to Beaverton to a witch store Sat. Breakfast at the Grove Sun., filled the tires Fri. night-seem to be ok now. Picked up Salem from their trip-was fine. They’re tired.

Tuesday afternoon. Not much going on-got the last official password rotation done, and a db server switch. Hopefully they all work fine. Low tire light when I picked up Claire last night. The tire guy didn’t do a great job.

Tuesday morning (10/21). I should call this. Got stuff to do. Took Friday off, fun with tires, no gamelan, fine workouts. Mathias went to San Diego for the weekend-had a great time, decided to come back Monday rather than Sunday night. Downspout was leaky-tried to just replace it-doesn’t fit right, so need to replace the whole thing. Went to NoKings in downtown Milwaukie, rather than Portland-Erika didn’t want to deal with a huge crowd. Salem came later, went to ChaChaCha for dinner, misplaced her phone, kitchen had it. Pulled out the A/Cs and put them in the shed. We saw a guy stuffing a rabbit into a bag at the rabbit party zone over by the Bomber on 99e. Claire yelled “fuck you” really loudly.
