And just like that, it’s Labor Day. And the 1,000th!

Please tip the writer. Whatever amount you like-every little bit helps, and I’ll do a shoutout. We are always short of cash, especially with a big mortgage. Let me know if you or someone you know needs web design/development-my rates aren’t bad, and I’m more than pretty good at it. Java/database/AWS/UI too. ThankYouVeryMuch!

Here’s another recitation of time passing. Big deal. Given the state of things, it might be the best thing-tying to keep an even keel while things slowly collapse. I’m tired. <edit>And I just looked, and this is the 1,000th blog entry! That’s actually a milestone. Like 30 years will be. Not very many bloggers can mark 30 years. That is all.</edit>

And that’s another couple of weeks gone! (7/8) Not much, I think. Took yesterday off, 4th of July on Friday. Didn’t do much-worked out Sat/Mon. I guess the biggest thing was that the apple tree fell down last week. Heard it, but it didn’t register, as no damage. We’ve had a couple of people come out to estimate removal. It’s been hot, then cooler, now it’s getting hot again. I’d like to run outside-treadmills don’t work well for me, but the heat means no.

And there’s a couple more…(7/21) Lunchtime. Pretty much nothing exciting going on-it rained last night. Claire went to the seaside and Salem has been going to the river. We’re looking at light fixtures to replace the broken one, and tree removal estimates-varying from 625-1,200. Need to get someone to look at the plumbing. Have a couple of other things to do. We got an Ikea mattress for Salem, going to put up their new loft bed next weekend. They want a new computer too. Not much else-working, working out, shopping, making bagels. Cut the grass Sat., Matt did the edge trimming yesterday. Dealing with minor aches and pains. The joy of aging-things don’t heal as quickly.

Wednesday (7/23) Noon. Watching a guy code in an interview. Dentist’s afterwards And now it’s Thursday. I thought it was Friday… Fine dentist visit-but one small cavity, and a little reversion with my gums. Back in 2 weeks for the drilling. Thursday afternoon. It’s hot, need to call a plumber for the drain smelling when I run the A/C.

And that’s a few more weeks (8/13) Got that tooth fixed, and the recovery was quite painful-had to skip gamelan. We deconstructed the tree, and there are several piles of apples and a few more of branches. It’s been rather hot, and cool before and (hopefully) after. Tweaked my back, but the recovery was quick-skipped a few workouts over the past couple weeks-first my jaw and then my back. Put up Salem’s bed-nice, but very close to the ceiling. Still need to put the desk in. Also put up a new light fixture. Thinking about tidying the living room. My bagel making is pretty decent, and being consistent about making ice.

Thursday-have the day off tomorrow, so trying to get a prod thing fixed. Also scheduled all my time off for the rest of the year. I’m doing single Fridays once a month, then longer for holidays-Thanksgiving and Christmas this year-no big trip. We have a cap on how much time we can roll over from year to year. Looks like the prod thing is good for tonight, after a bunch of scrambling to deploy a piece I forgot about. Fine gamelan, fine workout Tuesday.

And there’s a couple more weeks gone (8/28)-Labor Day is here, and a few days off. We had to get rid of Salem’s bed, got a new one. Was sick last week-tummy still not 100%. It’s been hot. Been skipping workouts because sick. I think I’ll call this.
