In a big building under construction. We’re under attack, and need to get away. We get the big ropes on and jump. I go all the way to the second floor and climb down through someone’s porch. Walk away, and guys are running around shooting. I take cover, then go to the next building. Some lady is there to help, and I pick up something a cop threw as we was running towards the fight. She then comes at me with a scalpel, saying I should’ve stayed in the building. I catch her arm and disarm her.
In a library, deciding what to read for a book Club. I pull out a binder with 4 Octavia Butler stories. I look over the papers in there-these are rare and unpublished from 1970. I say it’s her radical stage.
Walking along, go into a liquor store. Looking for whiskey for egg nog. Salem comes in too. Some guy gets garroted in half inside a plastic bag. Everyone is shocked. We leave and the lady wants to talk to Salem and tell them how mature they are. Salem ignores her and walks away.
