At work, in a garage, working on getting systems set up for a car manufacturer. Get a good way through the bits for a car show. Some executive comes up and talks to my boss as I walk out to the door. He introduces me as the one doing most of the work and she congratulates me.

Wilting tables at a restaurant. Some other waiter comes up and tells me she added some charge to a big bill for some lottery tickets. I go and look at the bill, then walk back and tell her she’s fired. Go look for the owner to tell her what happened, can’t find her.

In a big building under construction. We’re under attack, and need to get away. We get the big ropes on and jump. I go all the way to the second floor and climb down through someone’s porch. Walk away, and guys are running around shooting. I take cover, then go to the next building. Some lady is there to help, and I pick up something a cop threw as we was running towards the fight. She then comes at me with a scalpel, saying I should’ve stayed in the building. I catch her arm and disarm her.

In a library, deciding what to read for a book Club. I pull out a binder with 4 Octavia Butler stories. I look over the papers in there-these are rare and unpublished from 1970. I say it’s her radical stage.

Walking along, go into a liquor store. Looking for whiskey for egg nog. Salem comes in too. Some guy gets garroted in half inside a plastic bag. Everyone is shocked. We leave and the lady wants to talk to Salem and tell them how mature they are. Salem ignores her and walks away.

At work, cleaning up my desk, getting ready to move. Go back and it’s another group in the office.

Skating with some girl. We go around, then stop asks start talking. Look up and there are twinkling white lights speeding around. She says they’re fairies, and calls to them. A couple come down, and sit on my open palm. They talk very high and fast, then leave.

Walking past a large fenced in pigpen. The enormous hog looks at me and raises these enormous spikes all over its body, with really big ones behind its head. I walk away fast and it follows me.

In somebody’s house in downtown Long Beach. It’s actually a building. I notice sand on the floor, and start sweeping. Do the dining room, then the kitchen, then into a living room. It’s the morning after an all night party. We leave and walk down the street towards home.

Walk down to the gamelan room at UCLA. There’s only me and another. Play a little and leave.

Sitting on a porch. Roger and someone else comes and sits. The other guy pulls out a tiny thing and gives it to me. I close it and inhale. The stars start showing the constellation lines. I give the thing back and he refills it, but spills a bunch of liquid all over. I walk out and up the hill. A bunch of ROTC groups are running down the street. I jog back to my place.

At 30700, looking at the sky from the back door. See a bright light coming closer from up high. I go to grab it, but it went away.

Working for Steve Miller, going over generating the sound effects. I have my Kronos, but he’s showing me how to do it using the old stuff, including an odd sheet of plastic that you use like a 2d ribbon. Finish up, walk over to the garage. Talk about how much leaving the car is for the tour and when we get paid. Go back to the storefront, there are a ton of people sleeping in the entry hall. Walk around to the living room and lay down on a couch. More people come walking through and I wrap myself in a blanket and try to go to sleep.

In some workroom, trying to get a sewing machine in working order. Run a wide stitch on a swatch, seems ok. Change to a narrow stitch and try to run through the same swatch and reverse. Didn’t go well.

at 30700, looking out the back. Lightning hits a tree very close. We go into the kitchen, then back. Another one hits a tree right next to the house, but it’s more like plasma that lights up the bottom of the tree for like 3 seconds. We run into the kitchen to get away from it.

Building some sort of structure for a performance. Someone else is doing one that looks like square creates in a pyramid that they smash. Talk about whether we want something that does like a blow-off, or a finale. We’re like hanging from wires and swinging or zipping across.

Driving into a construction site to get something. It’s busy, so we leave. Park and walk downtown. It’s raining and cold, and I’m underdressed. He gives me a jacket. We walk past some street people, and into a building where the guard helps people out. We go into the lobby and the guy walks away. I go out onto the plaza, and see him quickly change and walk away. I go down some alley, and Erika and Salem are parked there. I get in, a bunch of ladies pass, and we drive away.

At gamelan, late, don’t have the music. We stop, and Mindy’s mad because someone was playing the wrong notes. Leave, and someone comes up to me and asks why I’m not signed up. I say I’ve been there forever. Walk away and down the stairs and out of the building.

At some memorial thing at school. They’re talking about the kid. I’m sitting in the top row with my classmates.

Trying to get into a building. Walk through a corridor and someone comes and the girl shoots them from behind. Make out way to a car. Get in and shoot the driver. Push him out and wait for the rest.

In a school bathroom, it’s confusing-go into a few stalls trying to find the way out. Finally get out and walk fast through the halls. Get to a room, go in and kneel next to the teacher. Talk, then get closer until we’re touching.

Watching Trump play a large recorder.

Getting on a bus, some girl has a deadly toxin in her mouth and sprays it everywhere. A bunch of people die and I get out OK. Go to the place where they’re making the toxin and walk around. Go into a big room with a bunch of people. They’re going to spray there, but I lock the doors and get ready to kill everyone. They don’t do it, and I struggle to get the doors unlocked, as I sealed them up.

Talking with Bob Harris about a book he’s working on. Walk over to a pit and there’s an odd orange sea creature in there. It whips out a tentacle to try to grab us. We step back and it tries again. It starts rolling itself over to get out. We back up more as it makes its way around. We walk away.

Playing with a couple of guys. They each take a solo, pretty simple but clear. I start and it’s soft but not very clear. They come over and make adjustments but it doesn’t help. Go into a bigger room and walk around.

Looking at a big map, trying to figure out how to go from New York to New Orleans. We decide either to the east or west of the Appalachians. It looks like there’s something going on by the Mississippi, as the route takes a big jump to the north to get across. Zoom and it looks like a bridge is out. Jump down to the street and a huge puppet monster destroys the bridge. We go running to get away. Hide in some shop and find a hidden room by twisting a spot in the floor-there’s a lot of stuff in there. Go back out and leave the store.
