Trying to organize a bunch of stuff on a shelf for this girl. Working through it, but the A/C is acting up. Go over and try to redirect the tube/make it blow less. Give up and go back to organizing.
With a bunch of people going to a show-our seats are right in front on the left side. I take the leftmost one, and Laurie K puts some girl right next to me. I have a bunch of towels and stuff and put it on the stage, tight in front of a door. I look at her and start making conversation, even though I’m married to Erika. We talk a little, then I get up to do something with the stuff. I get back, and our seats are now further back and almost in front of a screen. I’m not sitting by the girl, and she’s chatting with someone else. I talk to the guys next to me about how we all know each other. We start to leave and I’m trying to get next to her. She comes back later and I talk to her and Laurie. She says they did some play acting. I say who I play eight instruments. I look at her and wink a little. We get close. We go to clear off something on the floor and it’s a map. I look closely and it’s Cuba, I look upwards and see Key West, so def. Cuba. I pull down a little and find Grans Cayman, and say that I used to live there.
Getting ready to leave a hotel. A big crowd comes in-looks like a rock group and entourage. They’re distributing drugs to the band and taking everything to the rooms. We leave our stuff and get in the car. The man driving gets to the onramp and starts falling asleep. I tell him to pull over and I’ll drive. We go back to the hotel-I need to get something from my bags. I go up to the room and get it.
Walking through an exhibit for a U.S. kids’ trip to somewhere. There’s a pile of cds that they listened. Walk past and leave.
Looking at a cool guitar, the guy is playing “Satisfaction”. He says his tone is perfect. I disagree and pull out my guitar and set it up. I start playing and the tone is good, but no volume. Jerry J starts fiddling with the pedal and the guy starts waving the pedal he’s using, saying I should use it. I walk around and turn up the volume, and it’s good, but Jerry turns it down as I walk away.
@30700, a couple comes in via the sliding glass door. They’re from Chicago and have jewelry. We sit at the dining room table and he makes out the paperwork and certificate. I see that it’s $3,800, which is way more than I had told him I could afford. I explain the situation, and say it’s either this or the mortgage and food. They’re not happy and leave.
On a train in Switzerland? during WWII?, look back and there’s a wall of flame slowly coming our way. Run and get behind a large column. Crouch down and brace and say, “I don’t want to die” over and over. The flame comes, passes, and I get scorched, but that’s it. Get up and look around, and a bunch of people are dead and a few alive.
Walking through some big store. Trying to get to the other side, but avoiding something. Go downstairs and through. There’s a ton of stuff down here. Walk back and around and try to find the way through. Walk up some stairs and some guy gets upset with me going that way, and tries to push me around. I slip past him, and he falls down the stairs. I go back down, and he tries to fight me. I put him on the ground. He leaves and brings back 2 guys to fight me. I look at them and laugh.
Going up the gondola of a big ski resort. Get off and talk to some woman who looks like Diane about the best way to go. Look at a slope down the stairs of the gondola. Forgot my poles, look for a pair, decide to go without. Look at the trail map-there are a bunch of slopes and buildings. Ski down one, end up at a courtyard, look around, ski down another slope to the bottom.
In a big car, going somewhere in OC. I turn right, everyone else turns left. Go on the freeway but it ends up on surface streets.
With a girl in her bedroom. We’re having sex, but she wants to insert some long thin thing in. I say fine, but we need something to keep me going. I say to lick my butt. She grabs red pills and viagra. I take them. We’re looking at odd fruit and she’s saying how her last one lied all the time. I say i won’t do that and tell her that I’m married. She says she knows that.
Lying on a OR table. I’m having a baby. It’s not out yet, and someone says there’s an infection. They pull the baby out and take it away.
Outside on the roof. It snowed a ton and we’re making sculptures. I decide to make a replica of the pyramids. Get it started, have to go downstairs. Come back and it’s mostly melted and some other people are there doing something.
Walk around a convention center.
At home, a quick delivery of new meds. It’s tubes of popcorn and a liquid. I pop the popcorn by pouring the liquid on. It doesn’t work. Look again. Go back out and talk to someone.
At mom and dad’s, dad is getting some minor surgery. Mom isn’t supposed to know. Walk around to the garage, he’s in a bed and the Dr. had to take out his gallbladder too. He wakes up.
Hanging out with Kathy Griffin. Walk out to the yard and chat, back into the kitchen. Talk about random stuff. Some preacher guy comes in and I boo him. Walk out to some platform and there are a lot of fans blowing. I turn them away and some off. Pass around the last of a bag of chocolate.
Hanging out on the couch with Leslie B. I want to do it, but we snuggle instead. Listening to music and watching something.
Moving offices-they put me in the wrong place. Go over to where they put me and look around.
Meg’s getting married.
In downtown, need to get to some excavation site that’s up at 10,000 feet. Walk to Pasadena, start up some steep path, it starts to snow and the ground is coated. Go back a bit, send someone to get spikes.
Getting ready to travel by train to Asia. Waiting in the station, the tour guide is getting everyone organized. It looks like the train has left, but it arrives. Going around some bend, looking out the window, see the moon rise, scramble to take a picture, notice that it’s rising in front of some buildings and island. Look over and there’s an enormous clownfish diving into the sea.
Sitting at the window, looking out. 3 or 4 small peacock-ish birds run by, go around some trees, then come back past me.
Getting set up for a gig. Move all the stuff around to the stage, looking for cables-find what I need. Get the guitar out and try it-the neck is complete broken from top to bottom. Someone says it’s a truss rod issue. I can see a bent part of it. I go out to the front and ask Adrian Belew if I can borrow one of his-he says he has to go get it-will be a couple of hours. We postpone the show.
On a bus, trying for get to New York. Driver takes us some weird way, wants to go to Florida first, then goes another way. We go up some tiny roads.
