In a casino, walk with a girl who’s going to show me how to win. We go into a lounge, Paul Anka shoulders past us. We sit down and I order a Heineken-she looks at me funny. The show starts with a guy in a shiny blue jumpsuit. We start talking about what to do to win.

At home, getting ready to go to a parade/fireworks show. Put on boots, but upside down, put them on the right way. Get the cooler and push it because there’s a crowd of people in the alley/street. Make our way through, go into the bar and to the front. I miss the turn and go into the restricted section where you can’t stand for long. Pretend to look at the clay bits. The owner comes over, asks what I’m doing, takes the clay bit and drops it on the floor, then tells me to get out. I go out the back, but stop to talk to wait staff. Go through the office, and am tempted to steal an expensive bottle or break something. I leave and walk over to the street.

At 30700 in my room, start pooping in my boxers, hold it in. Got to the bathroom, sit down, poop more-boxers are still on. Start floating up, everything turns black and floats around. There are eye-like lights. Force myself to wake up.

Hanging out in a room with Leslie B. She’s talking about some practice and twisting her fingers around. I think about how that relates to what I’m doing. We talk about it and she starts showing me something. I hear some thing behind me and she says something about Hitler being a cold, mean man. We stop the working.
Riding around OC suburbs, we stop to get directions and someone loses their bike. Backtrack to find it.

Walk down a ramp to get to an ATM. I decide to walk down rather than take the car (it’s parked right there, and the ATM is too). Walk down the stairs, get to the last one and step off to get to the ATM. It’s really slippery and steep, and I struggle to get back to the stairs, almost falling down the ramp.

Crossing a bridge in London. One side doesn’t have a fence, and I’m scared to go . The other side has a fence, and I walk across, looking at the Thames. Get on a train, it’s an old school car with the wood and the rounded ceiling. Get off and walk down a street towards Chelsea-the street is deserted and someone is following us. We turn onto another street and go up steep stone stairs.
Directionless, except for time’s arrow

Weds., gamelan tonight. Pretty quiet week, so far. S went to a school play last night-very tired this morning. Good w/o-still hard with the jogging-I was never a good runner, but if I keep this up, I may improve my shape enough to be that or close enough. Even when I was going to the gym all the time, I just skated back and forth from home, or along the bike path. I haven’t done any real running since middle school, and sucked at it then. Hopefully that can change.
Friday-got up early, home early…Choir last night-trying to learn sight reading, but not yet-had to write notes out. The drum sight reading was not bad. Not bad on the song for Sun., but need more work-I’m not much of an on the spot musician unless you want improv. I also have trouble remembering specific lines unless they’re written down-I tend to play it different every time…This trips me up when I play peking at gamelan-I’m playing it for Puspawarna, and there are lots of rests, which require interpolation.
Monday-power was out when I got here, but it went on about 11. Same ol’ weekend-clean, shop, church-played OK. M to prom on Fri. night-had to cut my workout off to get him. S went to the pool Sun. and a thing at Pietro’s. W/o w/no M-he’s sick. C is getting it too-I got away with just a sore throat. Tax day. Bills to pay. Calgon, take me away. lol. That was lame-M was talking about dad jokes… So, Weds., w/o last night-M was able to come, I’m still increasing the intensity of my cardio-18 mins of running, half at 5 mph, half at 5.5/6, 12 mins of walking at 4 mph as recovery between the running-all intervals-. I may be able to make it to a full half-hour of running at some point. It’s still kind of amazing to me that I’m doing this!
Thurs., finished up the database changes, choir tonight. E locked her keys in the car yesterday-had to leave early to get gas, gamelan went fine-Puspawarna was better. Shop, get C, shop more, dinner, bed late.

In a field with a guide. We walk to a plot of grapevines that have odd yellowish spheres hanging from them. He says they’re beehives, and cracks one open to get the honey. We look for other ones that look abandoned, and there are a bunch of small ones and a few large ones.

At a convention, walking through a bunch of people. See Keith Moon, fully alive. I go over and start talking to him, then realize he’s dead. We talk for a bit.
On a lake, a guy is showing me around. He zooms really fast and turns quickly all around the lake. He comes close to some swimmers. I talk to a boy and apologize for drooling all over his shirt.
At school, S needs her violin. Look for it in First Grade. I open the door slowly, no violin.

Looking at a half-demolished building. People are climbing up it and sliding down. I worry about people getting hurt. Walk down and sit on a couch in a room that’s open. Start climbing up a bug pipe, and rip my jacket. Mom’s going to be mad-I look at it and think about how to repair it. A bunch of OHS people from my class walk by and recognize the guy sitting next to me. They come over and we get up, as every talks about what they do for work. I say mine, but no one listens. They group up and leave. I go to the next building looking for a spot to picnic. It’s nice and grassy with lots of trees. I walk up a hill and into a grove. The guard comes and says it’s off-limits. I ignore him and walk down, around and back. He follows, yelling. Go into the building and up to the lobby.
Onwards, ever onwards time flies.

Tuesday. Another week, and next week is the killer one. We’re so underwater. I think we’ll make it, but then it’s bill after bill after bill. I’m tired of this endless no money grind. So, home, visit church to pick up trash, w/o, dinner, bed. Up this morning. I woke up at 2:30 on Sun. night to cop cars zooming into our complex. No one else woke up, and I didn’t go out to investigate. Thursday-no work tomorrow. No gamelan last night. E went to help a friend. Friday, working from home. Getting stuff done-work and ripping libe stuff. W/o, choir rehearsal-it sucked for me, wine. Sat., drive E around, home, laze, practice pieces for Sun., Sun. up, Easter, church, played-not that bad, home, libe, M to libe, shop, etc., w/o, laze, S is having trouble getting to sleep. Up, finally get this stuff to QA and working.
Thursday-pretty quiet week, we got a little $$$ from school, which gives some breathing room. Not much other than the usual, w/o alone Tues., gamelan-new people, busy on C&G at work.
Saturday, the house is now tidy-laundry, dishes, vacuum, C to gf’s, windy and rainy outside-a nice day to work inside. W/o last night-moved up to running 18 mins out of 30-that was hard, but it should get easier. Proof M’s college essays, dinner-eating alone at a nice tidy dining table. Wish I had dessert. Sun., church, libe w/S, pick up E, mall-S & E got into it, home, lazy-so tired-napped a bit, w/o, dinner, pick up C, bed. Tweaked my neck.

In a theater, S is getting ready to do a play. Walk down to the stage, go to turn on the lights, the booth needs me to pump the starter first. It’s behind the wall. I do it and the lights go on. Walk over to the other side of the stage and get all my gear out of the bag. Pick up the slide and start in on a song. People are arriving for the show, and a stagehand tells me I have to pack up.

Going to the airport with the family and Holly. I’m ignoring her. We’re trying to get there, but no bus or train is coming. Holly has a lot of luggage, and the cab driver is struggling to get it unloaded. I look through it a little, amazed that she has so much stuff, and want to consolidate. Suddenly I’m sitting on a bench outside a Fred Meyer’s, and there’s an open door and a big cannabis convention inside. They’re playing “Get Up, Stand Up”. I start walking, because we’re close, look back and there’s a bus coming, so I hurry back to the bus stop.

Walk upstairs in a small office building to start work with people I’ve worked with before. There’s a lot of people in suits standing on the landing. I walk through them and over to a computer table and talk to the guy working on the program. Look at the app and ask questions about how the database and program have changed since I left.
Walking through a big house. It has spooky creatures everywhere. I get past them and into a big room that’s a bathroom. I look at the toilets and a girl says they’re all haunted and have curses on them. I walk over to a low basin/bidet and pee into it. there’s an odd instrument there. It’s like a fretless bass neck with one long string going back and forth to form four strings. I start pulling on them to get it tuned up and push the extra length through the end. I get one tuned, start on the next one, but it’s hard because I have to keep tension on everything to get them all in tune.

Get into a guitar duel with a girl-who can be the loudest. I have a tiny amp, start to go home to get more, but have to start working in a ice cream shop. Leave, get my guitar, talk to some guys about the stuff I have and how this little known amp is cheap, good, and loud. Leave with my guitar and the other one. Get a call on the way back from the shop-I tell him I had a thing at home and I’m on my way back now.

Walk through a field with trees on one side. Some kids are flying a bunch of single line kites up high. I go up to them and warn them that this is a flight path and that planes might catch them. On a train going south along the 405 freeway. Decide we need to go north-get off and onto a train along the 110.
Starting a new job, my contact guy tells me where to go. I get there, but I can’t go up the sill to the room. Go through the main entrance, they give me an id. I walk through security, back & uphill to the room. The lady is waiting for me, complains because I’m late (it’s 10). I sit at an old computer and start working.
