4:56 pm-Time to go home-finished up a CR for locking rows in an ancient program. Nice weekend-beautiful weather. Friday was quiet, Sat., Colin had 2 birthday parties-one early-we stayed home, one downtown at a funky art place next to the Bridgeport Brewery. We went to the Sat. Market while he was at the party. Shop, home, dinner, bed. Sun.-church, potluck, pumpkin patch a long way away, shop, home. Sleep early, kids up, to school, to work, and here I am.

4:52 pm-I’m done with what I need to do, so I’m going home. Actually, to Fry’s, then home. Quiet evening-Matt was in trouble, dinner, to bed-had a time falling asleep, up late, I had trouble getting to sleep, hard to get up today, kids to school, to work, finished up some things, finished slogging through schema saves, lunch, chat & finished one more, a few released, made up a Linux thumbdrive, worked on a Windows one, more social stuff, watched a webcast. Not much else-the market is still gyrating, pre-election nastiness. Palin spent 150K on clothes. Outta here.

5:30 pm-Leaving-quiet day. Colin is still sick, in bed a bit earlier last night-Matt slept better except for a nightmare, hard to get up today, Matt to school, to work, one cr is off, another is tested, another I don’t know how to fix, one more is in conflict with another. Interesting exchange with 2 old classmates. Chat with wife on Facebook. A few more links. My spare hard disk here died. At least I have the thumb drive, though I need a 8g one for pictures. And a 160g iPod for all my music. Whatever. Some nastiness from a congresswoman saying that Obama and his ilk are un-american and that the press should investigate. //hatever. It looks like it’s going to cost her her seat.

Sitting in the back of a station w/Jerry J. The passenger is looking for pot, and I say I know someone. J then pulls out 2 canisters from his pants. I set them in back, look at one, and have trouble getting the top back on.
At a nightclub, sit down in front just as the band starts-it’s this chick yelling and screaming. The band is behind curtains, not playing loudly-the volume varies. The patrons don’t like it. She stops, the curtains open up, and someone climbs up onstage to talk to someone-it’s a huge backstage. The guy next to me is a washed up rock star. He talks about playing video games.

5:06 pm-I want to go home-my throat is scratchy and my head hurts. No matter-busy weekend-up late, slept in Sat.-went to a New Agey thing at the convention center. Shopping, tidy up. Church Sun, market, ate lunch at the Bomber. Shop, home, more tidying up. Colin has strep. Matt had trouble sleeping last night. My flash drive is all loaded up. I’m missing some books and pictures. Up today, rainy, Matt to school, to work, QA assistance, finished up one cr, on to finishing up another. Reconnecting. My voter registration didn’t go through-need to include a copy of my SS card with the ballot. The lady was very nice about it. I give Sarah Palin a lot of credit for just showing up on SNL. She wasn’t comfortable, but she was there. Electoral-vote.com still puts the race to Obama.

5:36 pm-Time for the weekend to start. I’m so happy to be sleeping in tomorrow! OK. Past day-not much. Kids, work, home. Pep talk from the pres of the co. Genealogy-trying to flesh out the tree I have, part of tidying my papers. I have one gap-the tree I have is wrong in a few places. Next up: filing. Yesterday-kids to school, forgot teachers’ lunch, back to get it, to work, work, phone mtg, work, lunch, work, gas (2.87), home, kids got their punching bags, I got wet. Dinner, to bed, dinner, computing, to sleep. Today-up suddenly at 7:20, kids to school, Mathias has a friend, work, lunch, work. I finished the UPC thing, next cr. I needed to go to Fry’s, too late now.

Putting my stuff into a locker-we’re going to get high, but a bunch of people come by and we have to hide things. I walk around, and stand by my locker. I put on an afro wig and people are liking it.

9:24 am-Waiting for Excel to do something. Not much-the UPC fix is almost complete. A messup with another one, and a third almost done. Monday ended quietly-home, kids, TV & computing. Paged 5:15 am Tuesday-guy wanted to get a status update, but then everything was OK. rrrrr. Hard to get back to sleep-up, kids, work, meeting, work, lunch, work, home. Matt is having uneasy sleep and coming in with us. He’s still getting adjusted. Kids to bed, dinner, computing, to bed early. Got up lateish, but we’re getting more efficient so we can. To school, silkworms are doing their thing, to work.

5:03 pm-Going to leave soon-no lunch. Waiting on getting my local database loaded. Cleaned up some stuff, more loading, meeting, more loading. More friends on the social networking side. My foaf file is getting big.

Hanging out at a house on a hill, some guy comes flying across the top street and crashes because he missed the turn. E wants to go out and help. I start to, but he zooms away down the hill. He’s going way too fast and crashes straight into the house down the hill and across the street. I run out, but he comes zooming out in his car and drives away.

5:37 pm-End of the day, beginning of the week-I have the pager-one already-printing problem. Nice weekend-quiet Friday, up Sat., to school, hang out, help set up, take pictures. Sound from 12-04-a mess moving the stage for the last act. A baby came and cranked a portable preamp right at the end-I was chatting with someone when I heard a “whooooop”-ran back and turned everything off. Shari’s for dinner, bed. No church Sun., market, halloween costumes, Burgerville, looked at a house for 500K in a nice area. To bed late, up early, kids to school, work, birthday lunch, work. I think I have the upc thing cracked. Fires in SoCal, market is way up after a big conference about what to do by the G20. We should see these big gyrations for awhile. I’m glad I’m in cash. Time to go.

5:16 pm-End of the day, end of the week-quiet, the fire stuff ended up working flawlessly. I think I have the query right-the last iteration blew away everything. A bit more coding, lunch, coding and queries. Harvest Festival at school tomorrow-I’m the sound guy and takedown. In bed earlyish, up, kids to school, to work. Another 2 banks failed, the market is down. I don’t see any support on the downside for awhile. We’ll see.

5:24 pm-The end of another day. Had to put out a fire, still stuck on this query. Yesterday was pretty quiet-line rider at home, up late, kids to school, work, meeting, lunch, work, home, kids to bed, line rider, dinner, computing, shower, bed late, up today. Colin has been wanting to sleep in. I’m doing sound for the Harvest Festival Sat., and taking down. The market is plunging-glad I jumped out two weeks ago.
