11:36 am-Quickly, between tasks. Long 4th of July weekend. Work, home, work Friday, Saturday-laze, work on back yard-sod & fountains, bikes to storage, take kids to a friend’s for a birthday slumber party, met a guy at Tall Mouse who needs a website, we had a huge meal at a fondue place in San Juan Capistrano, went to look at cars and the place was closed, Sunday-picked up kids, went to the koi pond shop & met a guy I used to know in Long Beach at the recording studio, more backyard stuff, work at school Monday, sunburned, swim, work, more school work on Tuesday, saw Ratatouille with another boy, dinner with a church friend-kids played at the beach, work, laze on Weds., saw fireworks at Aliso Viejo.

5:24 pm-I have a few minutes while I wait for my iPod to sync…It’s kQQL, but I didn’t get all the gear I needed-I reset it and I had to go to the Apple store at the Spectrum to get a cable they didn’t have-so the guy plugged it into the wall and everything was OK. Installed iTunes, loaded all my music on the storage unit (16,528 files, 59.8 days, 91 Gb), cherrypicked onto the iPod (still some room left-more cherrypicking tomorrow), some work last night after kids to bed, work today on as much as I can do on the web thing-I’ve picked some CSS, ASP and Javascript bits, start back on the UI Studio showcase Flash thing. Onward. Reading a thing on Cheney. I gotta tellya, not like I’m advocating actually doing it, but I wish he could experience the things he OK’d…

Today-work, Matt got busted, more work, got the iPod (advertised as a 40Gb, says 30Gb on it, is actually a 20Gb-the guy gave me $15 back), Colin got his thing.

11:30 pm-Sitting in bed, Erika is flipping channels, primarily on Iron Chef America. Yesterday ended with a swim, the kids in bed, us in bed. Today-didn’t go to school-Erika ordered me to work here, she shopped, I cleaned up the back porch, kids went swimming, dinner, kids to bed, shower, us in bed.

5:01 pm-Getting ready to leave-aaaah, the weekend. I have to go to school tomorrow morning and help. I picked up a 40Gb iPod on eBay for $100. OK-the past 2 days-Thurs-picked up the family for an OB appt that we were a half-hour early for. She had the 3-d ultrasound done-she had her hand in the way. OK. On to the mall to get a present for a party next weekend, on to the DMV, the Hat, home, back to work, home, swimming, Matt had a fit when he didn’t get sweets, work in bed. Today-sleep in a bit, work, that’s it. We heard the boom from the shuttle landing.
