12:18 pm-Between tasks. Quick recap. Monday-home, dinner, bed, Colin wanted to hear the first chapter for Harry Potter II that he didn’t hear Sunday b/c he was upset & left the room, work. Tuesday-work, lunch, work, home, Colin had a tough time when Erika went to a baby shower lunch, home, dinner, kids to bed, work, dinner. Today-Erika encountered a mouse when she went to work on the computer because she couldn’t sleep-I couldn’t find it. And now I’m at work. Whoopee. Slowly trying to update my website.

4:57 pm-Finishing up my day-working on radical redesigns. To recap: Thursday-got tix for Knott’s. Home, work. Friday-Erika took me to a Starbucks in Lake Forest to get a ride to Knott’s. Guy went to the other one & I waited. He came, we drove there, had a scavenger hunt (got wetto get some points), lunch, one big ride, family came, rode some more rides, dinner, one last ride, home, sleep. Matt went on one of the big rides and it was a bit much. Some of the slightly tamer ones suited him better. I broke a blood vessel in my cornea. Colin was happy with the kid’s rides-he bailed at the last minute on a big ride-I give him credit for that. Saturday-drive Bonnie home, we picked up the new Harry Potter on the way. Got coffee and peanuts at Polly’s, ate lunch at the Blackboard Cafe in Seal Beach. Home, tidy, wash, sleep. Sunday-church, food, home, tidy, wash, work on outside fish stuff. Erika went to a picnic, kids to bed, Colin was really tired, work, dinner, work, sleep. Up today, work, ran home-we’re out of ca$h. Work, lunch, work, defragmented the iPod.

11:17 am-In between tasks, quickly. Checking email for “TP”-a few, one task. This morning-up, shower, kids to camp, work. I had another religion thing, but I forgot it. Work is going to Knott’s tomorrow. I need to get tickets for Erika, her mom & the kids.

I love my iPod. I was thinking about religion, and here it is: absolute faith and literal interpretation of religious texts leads to intolerance, fundamentalism and fanaticism.

11:33 pm-In bed, just finished work. Watching the Tour de France. The rest of today-work, lunch, work, home, tidy, dinner, work, kids to bed, paper, work. Time for bed. Our grass is actually growing! We have quick sprout grass seed. Bike sprint! Birds are feeding-it’s nice.

12:23 pm-Waiting to iTunes to finish. OK. Yesterday-worked on the monitor, CVS to get hair stuff, home, Polly’s for dinner, Erika’s mom visited, drove her home, went to get peanuts at Polly’s, which was closed, thinking about living in Long Beach and all the memories there. Drove home, put kids in their beds, worked on another “the Project” set, bed. Up today, work, and here we are. Time to restart.

Today-slept in a bit, tried to get the filter working-Erika just emptied out the water & replaced it with tap water-I conditioned it-I hope the fish don’t die. Work, they had a fake Beatles group playing out on the lawn. Lunch, more work-finished up the messy task list, on to the messy monitor I know oh so well.

1:41 pm-Almost time for lunch-going to take a quickie break. Working on task list, then 2 ui designs. Last night-read a bit, wait for a loong Ubuntu update to OpenOffice, webcam. Today-sleep in a bit, work, that’s it so far. I decided to use my iPod as the transfer and music player rather than the storage unit. So, it lives at home, the iPod comes with, gets and puts files at work and at home, and plays music at work, on the road and at home. I have 120Mb left, which should be enough for getting things to and from home. We’ll see…

11:15 pm-Time for bed-finished up 2 more sets for “the Project”, kids to bed, dinner, TV, reading. Earlier-work, lunch, work. Whoopee. Played with the kids, Erika’s cleaning and I had to clean the boy’s bathroom, her mom’s coming down to go to the Dr’s with Erika, so we’re cleaning a bit. We’re going to redo the bedroom too. <sigh> She’s nesting.

9:28 pm-Kids in bed, watching MI-5. Colin has a sore calf. Finished a set for “the Project”. Dinner soon. Going to read Roma Eterna and go to sleep. Didn’t sleep well last night-woke up and restless. Erika was more uncomfortable. Got up early, ate, fed the boys, went to a meeting, work, another meeting, lunch, more work. It’s piling up. Plus one guy is on vacation and another is going away for an immigration reset. <sigh> Kids went to the beach and Matt got worked in the waves.

Saturday-Erika got a pedicure, we went to Walmart to exchange a filter, Ralphs for lunch, Juice stop, home, swimming, dinner, bed, work. Sunday-church, visited a friend to get baby stuff, helped out with computers, looked at the new Sienna, home, swim-Colin didn’t get to go & wasn’t happy about it, dinner, bed, no work. Kids went to a waterpark today.

10:20 pm-I have an early meeting, so I’m going to bed early. Finished up 2 sets of “the Project” screens. Read Roma Eterna a bit, then bed. Worked on a quickstart thing, lunch, more, had to get stuff at the drugstore-Erika sunburned herself and the kids a bit too-it was cloudy, no sunblock. Home, kids to bed, dinner, TV & work.
