11:28-At work. Listening to DN! No cricket today. Practiced De Colores with the 1st graders. On to BP, and tonight working on “the project”. Woo Hoo! Ca$h!

OK, backtracking: Friday-home, lazy. Saturday-tried to tidy, napped, went to a church kids play thing. Sunday-church, bitty B&G meeting, home, actually did the tidy-plus the porch. Colin had wiggly legs.

5:09 pm-Ready to go home-finished up the rework of the BP page. Watched pool games, ate lunch, worked, listened to music. Time to go home and work some more.

10:14 am-In a meeting-luckily I don’t have to participate. Asking questions and comments only. I’m glad this isn’t after lunch-I get sleepy in those meetings. OK. The rest of yesterday-finished icon-they didn’t need it, back to a rework of a page of BP, pick up meds, TP and food, home, untangling kites, kids’ dinner and to bed, dinner, TV, sleep. Erika has drama at school. Erika took the kids this morning-I had to take Matt’s horseshoe to school. Yesterday some guy tried to grab a girl just a bit up the road from school-he failed, but had tried last week too-scary.

2:14 pm-Midday-working on an icon. Listening to Bruce Sterling rant at SXSW. Interesting-he says a thing about blogs not making him cry and how art should be left to the artists because having everyone do it results in a huge amount of terrible folk art and only a few gems-sort of a corollary of Sturgeon’s Law where the percentages are much higher-99.999% rather than 90% (1 in 100,000)… Guess that means I need to improve my content-writing about my life isn’t enough. Maybe-but it takes energy to do that and that’s hard when you’re a parent and work-I barely have enough to keep my day together. I have a better chance with music and T’ai Chi-I’m a bit closer to the source-even better would be some meditation thing…GD?

Yesterday: Kids to school, play in Kindy, work, leave and get kids-Erika was at an employment thing for school. Put 7th grade laptops away, set up one, none of the printers had ink. Chatted with teachers, untangled kite line. Home, dinner, boys to bed. Dinner, TV-Criminal Minds, South Park, CSI-NY.

Today-kids to school, taught Tai Chi to the 7th graders, pulled out unneeded computers, set up a printer. Work, had lunch at Wingnuts with Erika-we had a coupon.

2:37 pm-Another day. Took the kids to school, worked some, lost at pool, back at my desk, time for lunch. Yesterday-picked up kids at school-Erika was in a long meeting. Put them to bed, ate, sat in bed watching TV & computing.

11:21 am-At work, looking over a BP detail page. Listening to Democracy Now! No posting this weekend-busy. Friday night: dinner, kids to bed, went to BJ’s to pick up a pizza. Saturday-kids went to a pirate party, I came to work and practiced pool. Home, cleaned the fishtank, went to set up for the church casino event. Went to church, changed, set up, back to the event, helped clean up, won the big prize!!! Sunday-church, home, cleaned up. Today-kids to school, deposited a paycheck-woo hoo!!! Go practice pool in a little bit-match at 1.

1:30 pm-No game-one of the other team’s wife is ready to deliver and had pre-term labor-she’s about a month and a half early. No bueno. Erika called and the doc said the tests were OK-she was happy.

5:06 pm-Friday, almost time to go home. Busy day, took Colin to school, Matt to the dentist-we need to wiggle his teeth because the new ones are too big-we take out old teeth to make room for new-hopefully this will forestall orthodontia. Dropped him at school, had to go sit with Erika while she got a test. Work, back to school for De Colores practice with the first graders-they were quite antsy, but did well. Brought the kids back to work, Matt hung out at a baby shower, got some cake, Colin hung out with me, listened to some music, I did some more work. Last night wasn’t much but the usual…

3:49 pm-Working on the revibrate of a thing for page 2 1/2 of BP. I was stuck, so I moved into a meeting room and used the whiteboard and big monitor (with speakers-I plugged in and put on Airports). Not much last night-me and the kids went to school for a meeting-played De Colores for the parents. Erika had a church meeting. Home, kids to bed, computing, dinner, TV, sleep. Kids to school-Erika slept in. Work-this design thing. Lunch, pool practice, tea.

3:07 pm-Sitting in a meeting-this is a nice new laptop I have… Not much happened last night-I had to leave early to feed the kids-Erika can’t stand the smell of chicken. Learn “De Colores”, to bed, dinner, TV, computing, bed. Kids to school, work. I forgot to go get the Freecycled DVD player-rrrr-do it after the meeting. Edited Sunday Service, burned 3 CD’s, killed my computer. Lunch.

10:36-In bed, watching the Closer-this show bugs me. Out of meeting, sleepy, tough drive to get DVD player-a SigAlert b/c of a brush fire, foggy, home, kids bath, to bed, Erika got a haircut, dinner, TV, computing.

1:17 pm-Mid-day, thinking about going to lunch, but I’m going to put a 2nd video card in my computer first (no go-wrong card). Not much else-working on 2 icons. My neck is feeling better, but still not 100%. We all had a hard time getting up this morning. Erika drove the kids and worked a bit, I tidied up and came in late.

Recap-church yesterday, then drive to my parents. My sister is visiting with one of her kids. We had lunch, swam, played around, went to the local park (not local enough-we had to drive), ate dinner, came home. Very tired.

12:53-Really 1:53. I hate time changes. No matter. End of a busy day-slept in, practiced a bit & the boys played some. Off to the Irish fair-saw Joseph Derry, walked around, spent a bunch of $$$, back to San Clemente on base, Sonny’s for pizza, home, my neck is killing me. Shower, computing.

11:29 pm-In bed, ready for sleep. We have a kid spending the night. Dentist with Colin, no problems for either-Matt had to get rescheduled. Work-more BP, mirage stuff, journey. Leave a bit early, dinner at Ruby’s. Movie, hang out with kids, read the paper. And here we are…
