11:47 am-In a meeting. I get to practice my touch typing…ooooo. Anyways, I don’t have a heavy involvement-just comments. OK-The rest of yesterday-work, watched a car chase, lunch, home. Erika went to a meeting at our new church-she liked it. The kids had a hard time settling down for bed. Dinner, played Starcraft-I’m on a difficult scripted battle-been losing-I think I have the right strategy now. Starcraft II got announced-it looks amazing. This is the way to fight wars-virtually. No one gets hurt, no property gets damaged. Today-kids to school, no T’ai Chi-more testing. Work, meeting, and here we are. Congressman Tim Ryan is trying to live on a food stamp budget for a week-tough. Moore’s film looks good.

10:05 am-Quickly-at work, listening to DN! and clearing my backlog. To review: Friday-finished up work, went to Polly’s for dinner-Matt was staying overnight at a friends’, home-to the jacuzzi, Colin fell asleep in our bed. Saturday-picked up Matt, went to a safety fair and got a lot of junk-Erika got a quickie adjustment, on to the Spectrum for see Tam (Erika’s sister) while she test drove the Smart car-it’s tiny, ate lunch at the Hat, home, to church for the services auction. Sunday-church, home, cleaned Erika’s car, to bed early. Today-got up late, Matt didn’t like breakfast, to school late, gas, work. Whoopee.

12:09-I need to slot this in while I work on the web console thing. The past days: Weds-kids came for lunch, work, home, more “the Project”. Thurs-kids to school, play in the yard, eurhythmy class, work, Erika went to Long Beach, picked up the kids, back to work, home, dinner, kids to bed, dinner, work, Starcraft-I’m still failing my strategy on this one… Today so far-kids, stayed home and tidied up, took Colin’s lunch to school, work. Wolfowitz is gone, Gonzales is next-the incident with Ashcroft and wiretapping will bring him down-it may bring down the president too. Onward-more web console, thankfully I don’t have to work on “the Project” this weekend.

I took Matt to the dentist’s Saturday, Erika went to a meeting, Mother’s Day shopping, swimming (I didn’t go in), church Sunday, brunch at the Blackboard Cafe in Seal Beach, visit kite club at the beach, home, sleep. I slept in today, email, picked up kids.

5:15 pm-Jam this in quick before I go home-did some work on “the Project” last night-more tonight. Woke up with a bad sore throat, now I’m sniffling, not a good sign. Kids up, to school, partially fixed one of the sand boxes. Work, buttons for web thing, delivered it. Time card, Journey newsletter, I’m beginning to dribble. Lunch, massive dribblation-got the web thing done. Time to go home-pizza for dinner. I need to rest. I have to work on “the Project” this weekend. Mother’s day Sunday-flowers are sent. Erika’s dad is in his final days.

Anyways, to recap-yesterday-kids to school, work, home, Erika to church meeting, Colin’s been upset, kids to bed, dinner, chess, played Starcraft. Today-up a bit late, kids to school, t’ai chi-they were whiny and half showed up at the end, to work, Erika has TMJ, short phone meeting about “the Project” (more work tonight), watching this webcast. Tammy Faye Bakker has cancer and they’ve stopped treatment. Fires here-most likely more to come. We need to put together a go kit and plans.

10:07-In bed, working in “the Project”, plus watching the news-there’s a fire on Catalina. Lunch, work-adding functionality, dinner at Sharky’s with the family, to school for Matt’s first grade play. Home, kids to bed, a bit of Starcraft.

12:37 pm-OK, I’m going to throw this out quickly. I just finished up the web dashboard thing and sent it off. Same with “the Project”-I finished it up last night but couldn’t get email working so I sent it today when it got fixed.

Anyways, here’s the past few days…Friday-drop off kids, work, school’s May Festival, work, home. Saturday-lazy, Erika shopped a bit, made cake and opened presents-Colin’s birthday. Sunday-church, tidy up a bit, swimming. Monday-work, home-some kids stayed while their parents did a dry run to the hospital from Laguna Niguel to Laguna Beach, dinner, work. Today-kids to school, t’ai chi, kindy teacher sent Colin home with a non-existent runny nose-drama, drama, drama.

10:05 pm-In bed, webcam watching me. Finished work-some revisions to the web dash, home, off to Hometown Buffet for dinner-I got a check from Essex. Whew. Back home, kids to bed, read the paper, watched The Unit, sitting in bed trying to figure what to do next. Sleep? Practice? Workout? Wash? Read? Dunno. I was reading a thing in U.S. News about paying for college. Now I’m worried about that…
