You can add other stuff as well-tofu, chicken, seasonal vegetables, kiriboshi daikon, etc. If you put the ingredients in the rice cooker before cooking you get <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Takikomi_gohan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">takikomi gohan<\/a> instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ingredients<\/strong>: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2 measures rice<br \/>2 tbsp carrot<br \/>2 tbsp celery<br \/>2 tbsp shiitake mushroom<br \/>1 tbsp bamboo shoots<br \/>1 tbsp dried seaweed-wakame-reconstituted, sliced thin<br \/>1 tbsp green onion<br \/>1 tbsp bonito flakes<br \/>1\/3 sheet of nori<br \/>1\/2 tsp sugar<br \/>2 tbsp rice vinegar<br \/>2 tbsp soy sauce<br \/>1 tbsp miso<br \/>Sesame oil to taste<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Preparation<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wash, cook rice with 2 1\/2 measures of water.<br \/>\nJulienne all the vegetables except the wakame and set aside. Slice the green onion.<br \/>\nMix the sugar with a little water and microwave until dissolved.<br \/>\nAdd the vinegar and adjust until sweet and sour are balanced.<br \/>\nAdd the soy until all 3 flavors are in balance.<br \/>\nAdd the miso, microwave for 30 seconds and whisk until no more lumps of miso are left.<br \/>\nAfter the rice is done, reconstitute the wakame, drain and slice into strips.<br \/>\nToast the nori over a burner.<br \/>\nMix the bonito flakes with the rice, then the rest of the vegetables except green onions.<br \/>\nAdd the miso mixture and stir.<br \/>\nDrizzle sesame oil, add the green onions, tear up the nori into small pieces and sprinkle over the top.<br \/>\nIf you don&#8217;t use all the miso, put it in a coffee cup, add hot water and some of the green onions.<br \/>\nServes 2-4.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a recipe for rice with mixed vegetables.
