On the porch, some odd bird comes hovering up, not looking at me. Walk into the bedroom and there\u2019s a furry mouse like creature coming up from the corner of the bed. It looks emaciated but as is crawls closer I see it\u2019s all just fur. I pick it up with a towel and the fur falls away leaving a tiny bird. It starts talking and i lean in to hear. I ask it if it needs food and it says strawberries and something else. I set it down to go get it and the cat lies down and the bird vanishes. Go back out to the porch by the table and there\u2019s another big land bird, and Salem is nuzzling it. I warn her the it might bite, and a kangaroo comes over and looks.
