Monday morning. Didn’t get much done this weekend. Tuesday morning-still not getting much done at home, lacking energy. Going to be hot this week-C is graduating in an un-air-conditioned gym tomorrow. No gamelan. I should put the A\/C in. Wednesday afternoon, w\/o last night, pick up C+1 & M, hot, didn’t sleep well. Thursday morning, C graduated last night, went to Melting Pot w\/gf, only stayed for a little bit. It was hot in that gymnasium, and loud, and very unlike my U.S. graduation. Put in both A\/C units. Slept better last night, even going to bed late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, haven’t touched this for awhile, as I lost my job on the 14th. I’ve been frantically doing the job search, had a face-to-face yesterday, and two next Weds.-onward. There is very little I like less than looking for work. Done this 9 times in 30 years, and it’s never easy or fun. Anyways, going to see Claypool\/Lennon this afternoon-hopefully I can get in the pit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday. When you’re not working, it’s different-I’ve been sleeping later, and not getting out of the house as much. I did see Claypool Lennon-a super good set-2 people off the rail, but it rained the whole time-I was prepared, but chilly and soaking wet shoes. Have another face-to-face next week, this time with Nike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here it is, Friday after July 4th. It was loud last night-S and E don’t like it. Anyways, 3 face-to-faces this week, and I did pretty well in all of them. One of my former co-workers is at one of the places, which is pretty cool. S had theatre camp this week-she did well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuesday afternoon-that’s a song. Not for me, though I was contemplating some lyrics for protest. Waiting for a phone call, another one later, more tomorrow. Waiting to hear from 2 of the f2f, one declined. Did a code test this morning-yuck. More phone calls…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OK, now it’s August 5th, and I’m sitting in a temporary cube at Cambia. My laptop is set up, waiting on the dev side, and I have a bunch of compliance stuff to do-a lot like Huron in that respect. So, the story since I picked this up last. So many phone calls, a few face-to-faces, plus Skype-ish ones and several coding tests. Got the Cambia offer the evening after the face-to-face, none of the other prospects wanted to take me on. Then 2 weeks of vacay. Noa, my niece, visited for a few days last week-her and 2 friends are driving from Atlanta to Alaska. S went to church camp the week before-had a great time. We cleaned up a lot while I was relaxing, went through everything, including the outside closet. I got rid of some stuff, and E did too, and we rearranged things some. The closet is much emptier, as is my side of the closet. My side of the bed is much the same, though I added a small bookshelf to handle overflow. We also put the 2nd TV in our room with a Blu-ray player. M got me the Einstein on the Beach<\/a> Blu-ray for my birthday. I’m 58… Need to update my “me over time” gif. Lacking ca$h until the 16th-please tip if you read this. M quit his job-he was done with the manager’s BS. I got a bike for the commute, but not for a week or so-I need all the gear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
