Inhale, exhale.

Actually slept most the night, with chemical assistance, got to work on time too. Turned something around quick, finishing up something else, a bunch of other things. Home, C had a copying thing to do. hard to get S to sleep.
Up, cold, late in, stuff. Pay bills, and stuff.  Home, hang out, dinner, S to bed, TV, bed.
Up, to work. Work. This is getting repetetititive. Paid an old traffic ticket before I get my license suspended-just under the wire. Holding my breath until the reward comes in.
OK. From work, to home, hang out, again, no gas, no $$$, no gamelan. S to bed, again, she didn’t want to fall asleep. And Thursday is the same as Weds…and Friday is the same as Thurs…except for a dentist’s visit to get a crown glued in.

Early spring???

Another work day-up earlyish, Easy in, going down the rabbit hole, waiting to see what the reward for the pain is…and it got postponed until tomorrow. Another meeting. Got stuff done, but not enough. Home, yummy dinner, S to bed late, Archer.
Lost all my edits-rrrrr.
Easy in on Fri., meeting, the reward is: decent, not 100%, or even 75%, but enough to pay bills, get a few things, and save some. Raise was OK, not enough to put me at parity, or even enough to keep up with inflation…but I have a decent job.
Sat was lazy, libe, shop, lunch at Son of a Biscuit-overly yummy. I was stuffed and a little sick. S to bed, up late watching Lucy-a good movie, good ideas, a little thing and derivative-the end was the best part, like 2001. Imagine what Kubrick would do with modern filmic technology.
Sun-church, meeting, shop, libe, home. Dinner, quite tired, hard to get S to sleep. Trying to figure out how to allocate funds. To bed on time.

A Quiet Week (so far)

I’m hoping to get this one out tomorrow-we’ll see.

Things are compressing a bit, I’ve been slacking and tired. At least the house is tidy, and the Christmas decorations are put away. It’s been unseasonably warm lately.

Interesting dream last night-trying to get my car fixed and oddities. Another one, but I don’t remember. E had a bad dream.

Fun getting to work-a train was dropping off cars. We sat for 1/2 hour, then the bus driver pulled a U. Fun, that, but I was late in. Got the work thing finally done, but I forgot a thing I printed out for E. Got home, tidy, went to Dollar Tree and Office Max to get stuff and print out the stuff I forgot.

S to bed, but played a lot-she didn’t get to sleep until late. Watched a bit of Person of Interest, then bed. Cats were around, S woke up early, which messed me up. That and I have a sore throat.

Work was work-slowly getting stuff done. Easy home, but late. Out of gas and money, so no gamelan. S to bed late, C at a classmates’ for the night.

Time flies

At home, on a Monday. Something seems wrong about this…but I can’t do more than 5 minutes on my feet, so I guess it’s OK. Got sick early Sunday, Sat. was spent driving around getting stuff. Recovering Monday, and into Tuesday. Work a bit too, took kids to school.
Dreamed about driving a low, small, fast car, chased by people who want it. Hide it in a school, go into the barn and talk about getting a paddock built. Back to a venue where a concert is packed. I get in the back and talk about logistics.
So tired, headache-skipped gamelan, got pizza, collapsed. Dreamed about being in the 1023 apartment, but done up by Rehab Addict. Up, S got up, made her sad, late in, getting stuff done. Got stuff done, more stuff to do. Home, Archer, bed. Up, to work, doing specs. Done, home, lazy.
And I lost all my changes…Sat: shots for the kids, shopping. Sun: no church, lazy, one of my crowns fell out.. Mon: work, laundry, dishes, late to bed. S got her ears pierced a few weeks ago. Tues: work, laundry, dishes, late to bed. Weds: no gamelan. Thurs: same ‘ol, foggy downtown, dreamed about vacuuming and trying to pick up big shards of glass and ruining the vacuum. Fri: work from home, dreamed about fighting crocs with the ninja turtles. Assembly at school, meeting, more work. Sat.:ate up, lazy, cleaning. Put Christmas stuff away. S & C to school, school auction. Pick up S & C, home, up very late. Sunday: hang out, clean up a little, help E with Powerpoint, nap, libe, shop, cooked dinner, S to bed, me shortly afterwards. Mon: up, no traffic, meetings. Home, cook, folding, S to bed, me too.

Is it spring yet?

Another day, another post. Well, not quite.
Spent Saturday driving around Portland trying to get donations for the school auction. Got a lot of business cards and that’s it. Smelled like cigars too, though I found a place that sells balkan tobacco. That brings back memories.
Sunday-church, helping E’s friend with laundry.trying to keep the house together.
Early in today-it’s MLK day, so no traffic on MLK. Got stuff done, late bus, new driver made me late. To store, lasagna for dinner, S to bed, up late-ish. Up today, late in, problems with database. Finally got them fixed after 4 hours with 2 parameter changes-blecch.
This week is flying by. Thursday already. Not much going on-M got a new forearm cast-glow in the dark. Got a donation from a few distilleries, a winery, and a cigar place. Friday is done-getting stuff done-need to pay some bills. M’s birthday.
And another week has flown-busy, not caring so much. Don’t remember Saturday, church Sunday, tidy house, skipped gamelan-M is not feeling well. And he is worse, and E has having blurry vision. Getting a lot of work done, though. I think it’s time to call this post-a few more links and the listening list. A friend is borrowing our car this weekend.

OK, OK, OK.

I have to get more disciplined about doing this daily, or the links and listening to parts get huge. So, we’re in panic mode over a client at work, and running out of money at home. That and E hurt her shoulder. Everyone else is great, and E is working hard to get stuff for the school auction. Time for me to get cracking on the stuff I need to do. Implementing GTD should help. I’m part of the way there. Easy home, E’s shoulder is still hurting, easy S to bed, watch Archer with M. Easy up and to work. Got stuff done. Home, need to get a power cord for monitor. Lazy, S to bed. Up late, up early.

I stopped drinking coffee a few months ago, and I’ve started back on green tea-that should be a healthier option, and only half a scad of caffeine.

Interesting dreams: sneak into a new bar, all oak, go up the elevator-there’s hash and vape stuff for flavoring. Go back downstairs and the vape stuff is all in place and I sample using a modded toker 2.

Stuff and things.

Monday after 2 very long weeks off. Very tired, almost sick. Worked through it. Easy in, easy home. House is rather clean, tidied up, dinner. Tough to get S to sleep, good sleep, late in. Got stuff done, easy home. Dinner, S to bed, Person of Interest!!!, hellish commute-a slow train, missed bus, very late in. Dreamed about picking out software for work, voting on it, trying to move stuff from work. Back home, skipped gamelan, the usual. Same thing for Thursday, except easier. Archer season premiere, watched it with M. Friday: easy in, busy getting things done. Lazy weekend, teach t’ai chi at church, went to Cabela’s and Sonic with S. Busy at work, tell the story of my day to S at night. Another day, long meeting, got some things done. E messed up her shoulder, so we went to urgent care-pulled a muscle. She didn’t sleep very well. Another client panic today. Got it done.

I’ve been leaving this for a bit-just tired and unmotivated, again. I just keep getting hit with thing after thing, nonstop, both at work and at home. I’m tired of it. I need a miracle. Where’s my miracle? OK, absent a miracle, please tip. I should start a go fund me page…

Nothing changes

New Year’s Day. A relatively clean house. Dishes done, tidy kitchen, only one load of wash pending. Just me and S up. E up, off to breakfast with a friend. Just hanging out, dinner, S to bed. Up late listening to Sabbath and Purple.
E had a thing with a friend, slept in, vacuumed, cleaned the bathroom. Stepped in cat poop. Watch a friends’ kids. Cincinnati chili for dinner. Up late, sleep in. Another lazy day-the house is pretty clean, so not much to do. More lazy, kept the house withing reason, up date, Church, usher, shop, in bed at the normal time, hard to get to sleep, woke up a bunch, got up, to work. Quiet.
